When you go to the beach what you most want to eat is shellfish or at least that is my case. And sometimes we usually go to hotels with all-inclusive service but sometimes we don’t and we just want to try a delicious seafood restaurant one day.

If you are looking for something outside the tourist areas, where the local people of Puerto Vallarta go to eat seafood, Mariscos Mauricios is your option.
With very well served dishes and at a good price. Almost every trip to Puerto Vallarta is a must stop. In these last trips we discovered a dish called Pasión Futbolera (if we don’t know where that name came from) but it is a 3 in 1 since it has a little Shrimp Ceviche, Green Aguachile and Fish Ceviche, all 3 very tasty.
Other of our favorites in Mauricios are the Combinations, which, as the name says, are dishes that combine some specialties, for example, they have a combination of different shrimp and another that has half a lobster tail.
And surely our favorite is the perfectly seasoned Zarandeado Shrimp, great portion, great price.

El Coleguita is located in Nuevo Vallarta and in recent years they have had several branches but so far (2022) the Nuevo Vallarta branch is the one that is still active.
The food is delicious and we have to mention that the dishes are very large, the quantity is large so it is easy to share.
The Chicharrón de Pescado is one of our favorites, the flavor and the portion are very good and the sauce is incredible so the tacos are scrumptious.

First, don’t let the name fool you and at Mariscos 8 Tostadas you can not only taste Tostadas, they have many other delicious dishes.
Let’s start with the toasts, both the Fish Ceviche Tostada and the Shrimp Tostada are delicious. And of course we cannot fail to mention the Marlin Toast.
They also have an Octopus Burrito that is delicious, it comes with very rich white rice with butter and guacamole.
